Hormonal and chemical imbalances can sometimes lead to weight gain. Lab testing is a vital component of our exam.

You will spend a significant amount of time with a nutritional consultant, discussing past eating habits, and learning about healthy food choices. We will help you find healthy recipes that are delicious and easy to prepare.

Most people will meet with an exercise physiologist. We believe that exercise is a vital component of any permanent weight-loss program. Even if you have never exercised before, our trainer can help you. You will start slowly, with a plan that you can do, and you will build on that plan each week. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish with a little help.
Get Metabolic testing.
This is where you meet the science of weight loss. If you have dieted in the past, it is likely that your body has gone into “starvation mode.” This is the body’s attempt to conserve fat when faced with decreased food intake. It results in a lowering of your metabolic rate, a lowering of the number of calories your body burns on a daily basis. At Signature Wellness, we can measure your metabolic rate. We can even measure how many of the calories you burn come from carbohydrates and how many come from fat. With this information, we can design an eating and exercise plan to boost your metabolic rate, allowing you to eat more and still lose weight.
